      <image:title>About - Lisa Chiodo — Director of Research</image:title>
      <image:caption>Dr. Chiodo is a developmental psychologist and a statistician trained in neurobehavioral teratology with 20 years of basic and clinical research experience. Most of her research has focused on high-risk populations of children who have been exposed to prenatal alcohol, cocaine, and environmental toxins. Dr. Chiodo has more than two decades of experience managing large-scale longitudinal studies, and is a recognized expert in data management and sophisticated statistical analyses. Dr. Chiodo is also an Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a member of two regional opioid task forces through the Department of Community Health in Massachusetts.</image:caption>

His senior year, Angelo had presented a group project named “Opioid Epidemic: Affecting Massachusetts” at the 23rd Annual Massachusetts Statewide Undergraduate Research Conference.</image:caption>

Steve’s research interests include primary care, oral health, complex care, addiction medicine, chronic pain, diagnostic error, and health disparities. He is the lead author of publications in the BMJ,JAMA, Lancet, and the American Journal of Public Health.</image:caption>
